Starfinder Second Session Recap

After the blast of energy from the enormous transmitter, the ship received a transmission from a Hylki (human) soldier at the base informing them that they had entered restricted airspace and their ship, the Rock Hopper, would be blown to pieces if they did not leave immediately. The party decided to scan the base to extract as much information as they could. They found that the base consisted of two buildings: a communications center and the base security. Further scanning revealed extensive underground structures, and a final scan revealed a delivery entrance deep in the canyon with enough room to land the ship. During the scans, they also damaged the base plasma cannon and killed a hobgoblin gang member by splattering him like a bug on the windshield of the spaceship.

The party landed the spaceship in the canyon and entered a tunnel with a tram track. At the end of the tunnel, they encountered two Ysoki (rat folk) unloading their goods and equipment into a storage area. The Ysoki finished unloading and left. The party was able to hack the door and figure out the code to disable the turrets (1930).

Beyond the storeroom was an elevator, and the next room was a laboratory with two security robots (weak) and three Contemplatives (floating brains with atrophied bodies). Combat ensued, and the Contemplatives were splattered like water balloons. The three Contemplatives went down pretty quickly, but the two security robots were more of a challenge. After defeating the robots, the group discovered a structure with two “Big Red Buttons.” A computer check revealed one of the buttons was a self-destruct button, and the other signalled break time.

In the next room, the party discovered a lead scientist Contemplative and a more powerful security robot. After defeating them, the party discovered Chojar, the Shobhad mystic, in a secret prison. He was able to calm the radioactive properties of the Tar-Star-Kiss. Gamma-6 stopped the computer model of the Tarstarkas from being uploaded. Gamma-6 corrupted the file and uploaded the corrupted version while copying and retaining the original file.

The party returned the actual Tarstarkas to the Sietch along with the Shobhad mystic. The other two shobhad escaped with the rest of the prisoners, although some lives were lost.
